Post-pandemic preventive care.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Color built the technology and logistics infrastructure to support large-scale testing across the U.S. The challenge post-pandemic was how to apply this proven model to other pressing healthcare needs. Through conversations with customers, we identified a major gap: timely access to screenings and preventive care for high-risk individuals—especially in cardiometabolic disease and cancer, two of the most costly conditions for employers and health systems.

Color Essential Care was developed to bridge this gap. By combining at-home screenings, telehealth, and care navigation, the solution enables employers and public health organizations to proactively manage population health and drive early detection and intervention.

A scalable model for distributed preventive care.

I led the incubation of Color Essential Care, driving the 0→1 development of the cardiometabolic screening program and laying the groundwork for Color’s virtual cancer clinic. This involved product development across software, logistics, telehealth, fulfillment, and kitting. I worked closely with brand and kitting teams to design a best-in-class at-home screening experience, focusing on ease of use and engagement, which are critical for driving high participation in preventive care programs. I also collaborated with the GTM team to develop engagement strategies and campaigns to drive high adoption and engagement in enterprise and union populations.

Real world outcomes.

  • Expanded Color’s business beyond pandemic-era testing, establishing new growth areas in cardiometabolic and cancer prevention.

  • Supported major public health initiatives, including a partnership with the American Cancer Society to provide free colon cancer screening in rural communities, which was featured by the White House.

  • Drove high engagement and positive health outcomes, proving that accessible, at-home screening can close gaps in preventive care for at-risk populations. See Color's case study here.
